The Continuing Care Branch of Yukon's Health and Social Services Department provides home and residential care services for seniors.
Home care services help seniors live independently in their own homes. The Yukon Home Care Program provides services to individuals who need assistance in performing daily activities. The program provides long-term, acute, palliative, and respite care based on individual needs.
Residential care programs promote the dignity and independence of seniors who are no longer able to live at home. Residential and respite care services for those with the greatest needs include extended care, complex chronic care, and dementia care.
Residential and respite care are also available for seniors who require light or moderate assistance with the activities of daily living as well as professional care on an intermittent basis.
