Emeritus at Austin Gardens
Set on beautifully landscaped grounds with a courtyard, lovely gardens and walking trails, Emeritus at Austin Gardens is an upscale Alzheimer's care community located in a residential area of Lodi, California close to I-5 and Highway 99. A beautiful, small assisted living community rich in local history, Lodi is surrounded by scenic country vineyards on all sides. Although Lodi is quaint in size, there is ample access to shopping, services, and places of interest, including Lodi Lake, Walmart, Target, JCPenneys, Mervyn's, Lodi Memorial Hospital, and a nursing home rehabilitation facility, if ever needed. Its warm, family-friendly atmosphere puts residents and their families right at home the moment they walk through our doors.
Over the past decade our senior living community has become well known in the area for our innovative approach to caring for seniors with Alzheimer's or Dementia — an approach we call "Join Their Journey." The premise of Join Their Journey®, which is based on research conducted on seniors with Alzheimer's Disease, is simple: We believe that seniors affected by memory disorders still have so much to contribute to life. So our goal is to create a nurturing senior living environment and provide ongoing opportunities every day that allow them to live purposeful, successful lives despite their disease.
Toward this end, we create specially designed memory care neighborhoods that provide a personalized, familiar and secure setting tailored to each resident's unique needs. Within this environment, the highly trained staff at Emeritus at Austin Gardens joins residents in their moment, rather than trying to bring them into our reality. Through this approach, we recognize individuality, encourage choices and help residents maintain their dignity. We also work diligently to get to know each resident and his or her family, so that we can offer the right support for every stage of the disease process.
