The National Association of Home Builders chose North Hill, an innovative retirement community in the Boston, Massachusetts region, for several awards in their Best of 50+ Housing competition. The awards were issued at a ceremony recently held in Las Vegas during the International Builders Show. “Best Repositioned 50+ Housing project on the boards” was one of the honors bestowed on North Hill, along with recognition (all these awards fell in the gold or silver category) for their excellent “PurposeFULL Living wellness philosophy,” online marketing strategy, integrated marketing strategy, sales/marketing event, and brochure. Says the press release which details their achievements, “The awards reflect North Hill’s progress with the Project True North Initiative – the community’s largest and most comprehensive investment in its 28-year history. Project True North enhancements to the community include new residences, transformed indoor and outdoor spaces, and innovative services and amenities.”
It is refreshing to see retirement homes like North Hill embrace a philosophy that celebrates an active senior living lifestyle, but the way they operate their community in accordance with these “PurposeFULL living” principles is even better. All types of senior living communities should follow suit, providing not only comfortable housing and care, but an environment that encourages lifelong engagement, enrichment and education. Kudos to North Hill for setting an example worthy of replicating!
