If you agree that beauty is timeless — and age has nothing to do with it — you’ll love what this assisted living provider has done to celebrate it.
Last week, in Santa Ana, California, the second annual Ms. Emeritus Senior Living pageant took place.
This article from the Orange County Register, “Golden Oldies strut their stuff,” shares details from the event: 14 women from Emeritus assisted living and Alzheimer’s care communities across the country arrived in the Golden state to compete. Participants are evaluated much like contestants in Miss America, with talent, evening gown and interview categories.
Not only is this a great way for families and communities to celebrate beauty and talent at any age, the event’s proceeds go towards a worthy cause, benefiting the Alzheimer’s Association.
The pageant is reflective of what an innovative assisted living and memory care provider Emeritus truly is, as the company sponsors numerous events and programs that celebrate aging: a nationwide art contest, talent search, various holiday contests and more. At the beginning of the year, Emeritus was also named the country’s largest assisted living provider (based on resident capacity) by the Assisted Living Federation of America.
