Says a recent Erickson Living press release, the participating residents of Greenspring retirement community had a great time producing a lip dub of the 1962 Bobby ‘Boris’ Pickett classic, “Monster Mash.”
Ernie Sult, the resident who played the lead as the Mad Scientist, said of the experience, “It was a ball. I had so much fun, found some gel, tousled up my hair, sashayed around, mugged the camera, mouthed the words, and screamed my heart out.” Fellow cast member Shirley Shifflett, who played the witch, agreed that putting the video together was great fun, and a good reminder that “we all still have a touch of our nine-year-old selves!”
Watch the Virginia seniors get into mummy costumes — and the Halloween spirit — in this fun music video:
As Greenspring is a very large retirement community (nearly 2,000 active seniors call it home), it has the benefit of a closed-circuit television station and studio on campus — where the “ghoulish lip dub” came to life.
From all of us at SeniorsforLiving.com, have a safe and happy Halloween!
