On Monday, May 16^th, Five Star Quality Care announced plans for substantial expansion involving a total of 28 senior living communities nationwide, along with the acquisition of six senior living communities in Indiana. Additionally, Five Star is assuming operations for 20 senior living communities in the Southeast.

Five Star Senior Living is one of three primary operating divisions of Five Star Quality Care. Headquartered in Newton, Massachusetts, Five Star Senior Living owns and operates over 200 independent living and assisted living communities, skilled health care facilities, and CCRCs (continuing care retirement communities) in 30 states.

Winning in three categories of the Assisted Living Federation of America’s Best of the Best awards in 2010, as well as a Bronze National Quality award from the National Center for Assisted Living, Five Star Senior Living communities have truly established a reputation for success. Many of their independent living and assisted living communities have also received perfect scores from their state’s regulatory agencies.
