The OGs Aren’t Typical Bloggers

By ethielke / Posted on 03 August 2010

There are blogs about everything you can imagine: parenting, politics, sewing, books, cars and more. Though the topics may vary, the majority of blog authors tends to be in the 21-35 age range (Oops. Not me.).

But, some bloggers don’t fit that mold. Meet The OGs, as appeared on The Today Show:

The OGs (“Original Grandparents”) are 93-year-old Barbara, and 96-year-old Harry (aka Cutie and PopPop) who have been married for 73 years. To be specific, their granddaughters started the site, to share their grandparents with the world. Barbara and Harry cared for them in various ways over the years, and the granddaughters stepped in to care for them after Barbara and Harry’s children both died.

It’s a great site, they have opinions on everything. Cutie gives advice in her Ask Grandma Anything segments, PopPop tells stories in PopPop’s Adventure Corner. I especially like the episode where he gets a new iPod.

Do check them out, I just thought they were a happy spot in the digital world out there.

Also, be sure to visit The OGs Facebook page, there’s lots of fun facts there, too.

You do not seem to have all the Senior living places in your webpage. Do you only show the sites that support your webpage?
There is another senior living facility in Mountain Home and I do not see it in the list you sent me. I believe it is called Good Samaritan Society. Why are they not included in your list?

Well I can say blogging is a right and it does not matter what age group you come from.

Thanks for your comment, Duane. At the present time, we are delighted to represent more than 2000 senior living and senior care options and are adding more and more to our free directory each day. Check back often for expanded listings, and thanks for the recommendation. We’ll check Mountain Home out, for certain.
