I've not read anyone's experience with an elderly parent with severe age related macular degeneration. We tried the home care attendant expecting to receive help with driving my MIL to her Dr's appts and dispense RX's that she is unable to do as she is legally blind. We were shocked to learn the Home Care Attendant was not legally allowed to drive her, but my MIL could drive them both, and the HCA could not legally dispense the meds, but she could watch as my MIL got the pills out herself... MIL is low-income Texan with two small dogs.
